Stugbaat is a small family owned business located in Dalsland, Sweden. Our mission is to develop a sustainable business in the Dalsland tourism market that benefits our region and customers but also protect our genuine environment. Our houseboats are built locally. In 2022 we have replaced our petrol fridge with a solar panel fridge. We offer and encourage our guests to use environmentally friendly products to protect our lakes. We only use environmentally friendly products when cleaning the boats.

Here in Dalsland we take the dream of a small red cottage by the lake one step further: Experience the freedom of a holiday on the lake! It's fun, exciting, unique, close to nature ... Treat yourself to some fine days as the cabin captain on one of Dalsland's largest lakes.

You travel leisurely on the lake Lelång, anchor where you please, grill or snack on the large porch of the cottage and just enjoy life. The boat that pulls the cabin you can disconnect whenever you want. Wouldn't this 40 km long lake be enough. No problem. It is possible to pass the locks with the cabin boat - so you really have all our beautiful lake systems at your disposal. So take your time!

Here's how it works

The cabin boats are located in Bengtsfors. This is where your adventure begins. There you will get a proper overview of everything you need to know. You install yourself and Ove from Dalsland Holiday Boat Rental helps you get out on the lake. After 1,2,3,4… nights on the lake you will return to Bengtsfors no later than 12 noon on the return day.
